I’m enjoying the audible versions of your Berserker series and wondered about your narrator, Robert Ross. He has an interesting accent and vocal modulation that almost seems at odds with the subject matter. But his soft, kindly voice actually gives the exchanges between the berserkers and their mates the romantic timber that is needed.
Yes, I thought he’d be an interesting choice. The Berserkers are actually Vikings who ended up in 1st century Scotland. Forgive me for not being too historical about them otherwise (I mean, they’re werewolves), but I thought a Scottish accent would be interesting. Daegan is actually a Highlander werewolf from a local pack. He joined the Berserkers when he was shunned because of his witch mother. So he, at least, should have more of a Scottich brogue (except that in 1000 AD who knows what people really sounded like! Ammiright? I can drive myself crazy going for accuracy or I can just have fun. Result: Scottish narrator, spanky werewolves)
